Pull-String Pinatas & How They Work

Pull-string piñatas are designed for parents, who prefer to have their children, particularly small children, play a non-aggressive game or if the party game area is indoors. The pull-string piñata is a gentler version of the regular game of piñata.

The pull-string piñata is constructed like a regular piñata with a few exceptions. First, it has a secret trap door. Secondly, it has 20-30 ribbons that hang from the bottom. Only the “lucky” ribbon, however, is attached to the trap door that opens when the ribbon is pulled. All the other ribbons are lightly attached and pull off when tugged.

Many piñatas come with pull-strings pre-attached. Even though a piñata has pull-strings, you can still hit it like a regular piñata. If you have a piñata that doesn’t include pull-strings, you can purchase a pull-string converter kit for fairly cheap. The pull-string converter kits are easy to install on most piñatas. The only requirement is that your piñata have a flat surface on the bottom of the piñata.
